Position Summary:
Discovery Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Global Senior Director, HR to strategically lead and manage HR activities for our Europe-based client groups, driving the optimization of global HR programs and solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute HR programs and strategies aligned with business goals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Serve as the primary HR partner for European internal client groups, delivering HR services in areas such as employee relations, talent management, compensation, and benefits.
- Provide thought leadership in the design and implementation of people capabilities, optimizing global HR solutions and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Work closely with management to drive talent development, leadership training, and strategic planning.
- Lead and coordinate all German Works Council activities, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Advise on compensation and benefits philosophy and approach, ensuring competitive and effective programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Engage in strategic resource planning, supporting future operations with focused leadership development and talent management strategies.
Must-Have Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive global HR experience, including experience managing HR for business units across multiple sites.
- At least 5 years in Compensation & Benefits.
- Extensive experience with German Works Councils.
- UKG UltiPro HRIS experience a plus.
- Proven ability to design and execute HR strategies that support organizational growth.
- Strong interpersonal, consultative, and communication skills.

- Onsite at a Kassel, Germany office location
- 20% domestic and 10% international travel required
