Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University. Major in Business Administration, Social Services, Education, and Communications or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years’ experience in managing tasks/projects in a development, fundraising, communications, and special events/projects environment
- Strong presentation and writing skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, database management and office software
- Current Florida driver’s license
Preferred
- Minimum six months experience in a youth serving program
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepares preliminary annual budgets and adhere to guidelines (center specific).
- Manages the outcome measures, financial reports and meets with contract managers to ensure compliance.
- Process the National School Lunch Program paperwork (center specific).
- Ensures all contracts for building maintenance, consultants and center contracts are in compliance.
- Processes all vendor invoices in accordance with Finance Policies and Procedures
- Ensures compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
- Manages existing resources to maximize efficiency.
- Educates staff and girls on proper internet usage and Pace policy utilizing the best practice for the local center.
- Ensures the center website is accurate and maintained.
- Provides first level technical support for center staff.
- Maintains and secures computer networks and coordinates with outside providers for other essential services.
- Creates, prepares, and maintains reports, newsletters and/or documents as directed by the Executive Director.
- Develops public relations materials and disseminates.
- Creates communications to both internal and external constituencies.
- Provides Center Board Scheduling and meetings set-up
- Attends board and/or committee meetings keep board apprised of board engagement.
- Records and distributes minutes of Board of Director meetings
- Researches, writes, and manages grants
- Uses eTapestry to process donations and codes and completes appropriate forms and submits to Administrative Office in accordance with Finance Policies and Procedures.
- Performs donor relations to maximize cultivation and stewardship
- Communicates with volunteers in a manner that engages volunteers and supports the program growth and development (center specific).
- Advocates for and represents the Pace program within the community.
- Designs, educates, and implement special events for the Center in conjunction with other center staff.
- Hires, makes recommendation for hire, trains, and evaluates direct reports (center specific).
- Acts as the Ambassador for the Center to ensure all relevant documentation is completed, processed, and approved for new hires
- Manages the QAR Process to ensure the Center is compliant
Life at Pace Center for Girls
PACE Center for Girls, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 corporation that provides a non-residential delinquency prevention program in locations statewide, targeting the unique needs of females 12 to 18 who are identified as dependent, truant, runaway, delinquent, or in need of academic skills. PACE (Practical Academic Cultural Education) accepts referrals from the juvenile justice system, the Department of Children and Families, school personnel, community services agencies, parents, family members, friends and self-referrals. Its purpose is to intervene and prevent school withdrawal, juvenile delinquency, teen pregnancy, substance abuse and welfare dependency in a safe and nurturing environment. PACE programs provide the following services: academic education, individualized attention, a gender-specific life management curriculum (SPIRITED GIRLS®), therapeutic support services, parental involvement, student volunteer service projects and transition follow-up services. Every girl at PACE sets individual educational and social goals that are focused on earning a high school diploma or GED, re-entering public school, attending college, getting vocational training, joining the military or the entering the private workforce. After program completion, PACE continues to monitor each girl's educational and personal development with three years of follow-up case management. PACE operates 16 centers throughout Florida a reach program, and pre-teen centers (girls ages 8-11) in Broward and Manatee Counties. Since it's creation in 1983 PACE has served over 17,000 girls.
