Leadership Institute Associate

Summary:

The Leadership Institute provides training, tools, resources and education to AIPAC staff and activists, both in their current roles and to get them ready to take on future leadership roles.  The Leadership Institute Associate will work with the Leadership Institute team in the planning and execution of Leadership Institute programs and trainings.  In addition, the Leadership Institute Associate will also work closely with many other AIPAC staff and lay leaders.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Leadership Institute programs, trainings and meetings for AIPAC staff and lay leaders.
  • Coordinate logistical and general details with staff and lay leader participants attending Leadership Institute programs and trainings.
  • Prepare materials in advance of Leadership Institute programs for staff and lay leaders.
  • Design invitations and draft emails for Leadership Institute programs.
  • Maintain various technologies to keep track of programs, trainings, training materials and resources, participants, attendance, etc.
  • Serve as a point of contact for staff on programming and LI related resources
  • Assist with research and AIPAC history projects.
  • Oversee the Leadership Institute Intern in delegating projects and tasks
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Qualifications & Skills:


    • Passion for Israel, and the U.S.- Israel relationship
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
    • Excellent time management skills and organizational skills; ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
    • Fastidious attention to detail
    • Proven program management and coordination
    • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information
    • Flexibility to adjust to last minute projects and changes
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
    • 2-3 years’ work experience

    AIPAC offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that contributes to employees' overall total compensation package.  We are currently working remotely two days a week and in our offices the other three.
