Event Marketing Manager

The Event Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Event Marketing.  This role leads and supports a variety of event marketing projects that grow awareness, generate demand and acquire leads that translate into pipeline and bookings for RealPage and its products and services. Events include third-party industry sponsorships, memberships, trade shows, and special projects such as Sales Kick Off, the company’s annual user conference, and other field marketing initiatives. This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders across RealPage to develop and execute upon a holistic event strategy that enables us to engage with our key customer personas and aligns to company priorities, goals, and budgets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop and execute projects within the event marketing strategy and operations for RealPage, leveraging cross-functional resources to drive desired business outcomes and performance goals for pipeline and revenue.
  • Participate in and contribute to the creation and maintenance of the yearly strategy, calendar, program diversification, and budget activities for third-party industry sponsorships, memberships, trade shows, and special projects.
  • Partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders across the organization to bring strategic contributions to the program, to include a focus on evaluating the competitive landscape in search of additional opportunities.
  • Manage and execute a designated event portfolio, to include pre-event planning, resource planning and allocation, post-event follow-up, sales collaboration, budgeting, measurement, tracking and reporting.
  • Follow team standards, process efficiencies, and best practices to ensure program quality and a consistent experience for stakeholders, onsite staff, and event attendees. This includes working in shared spreadsheets and documents.
  • Manage agencies and/or vendors for all events related production and logistics.
  • Manage internal communications for team members representing RealPage at conferences and events.

Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 6-8 years in event marketing roles, with specific experience in trade shows
  • Proven track record in generating demand for B2B SaaS solutions through the strategic execution of third-party industry sponsorships, events and trade shows

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES


  • Experience in proactively managing a budget
  • Ability to prioritize activities and recommend strategic tradeoffs to meet business needs
  • Strong collaborative and negotiation skills to ensure that RealPage maximizes the value of each opportunity, building long term, strategic relationships within the industry
  • Demonstrated success in executing events that deliver exceptional, tailored experiences for internal customers and target audiences, aligning with the corporate brand to maximize visibility and deliver value
  • Understanding and knowledge of KPIs, goal setting, lead generation, pipeline, and other marketing tactics and strategies
  • Ability to understand the competitive landscape and capture strategic recommendations to the team based on that understanding
  • Ability to succeed in a matrix style environment, building relationships across organizations to deliver results

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must have the ability to operate a personal computer and express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. May be required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
