This key role focuses on driving business growth by collaborating with the Sales team to identify customer needs and recommend the appropriate Compliance & Security solutions to ensure project success.The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of developing, evaluating, and managing compliance and security programs to support NERC compliance and protect critical infrastructure. A strong understanding of the renewable energy industry, a customer-centric mindset, and a collaborative approach are essential for success in this role. We’re looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in a team environment and is eager to make an impact in the rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape.​​Role and Responsibilities​ 

  • Customer Needs Analysis: Collaborate closely with the Sales team to identify and understand customer compliance and security requirements.
  • Solution Development: Propose Compliance & Security solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring alignment with NERC standards and critical infrastructure protection.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on NERC Compliance & Security, providing guidance to internal teams and customers.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing clear communication, expert advice, and ongoing support.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on trends and changes in NERC compliance, cybersecurity, and the renewable energy sector to ensure cutting-edge solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work in a team environment to contribute to company-wide goals and drive growth in the Compliance & Security business.
  • Training and Awareness: Educate customers and internal teams on evolving compliance standards and security best practices.

Required Qualification & Education

  • Experience: 8-12 years of experience managing and overseeing NERC Compliance & Security, preferably within the renewable energy space.
  • Education: Post-Secondary Degree.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work within a team environment.
  • Excellent people/customer relationship skills.
  • Desire to be a part of a commercial team in a high-growth business.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Able to liaise with clients on significant issues that require intervention of the highest level of management in a professional manner
  • Big picture thinking that drives team to meet organizational goals and provides cross-functional improvements.
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work as part of a team

Required Software Knowledge

  • Expertise in MS Office MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, Publisher) and Adobe PDF toolsets

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Salesforce or other CRM
  • Experience in creating and driving strategic direction.
  • Experience in creating and delivering training.
  • Process improvement experience with Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
  • Experience with a U.S. based company

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to distill information and present it in an understandable manner to the intended audience.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Compensation

  • Base salary plus variable compensation plan
