In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining software build pipelines in a DevSecOps environment utilizing Azure Cloud, GitLab, and various build tools and scripts. Your duties include supporting the integration of Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools for independent verification, validation, and software assurance assessments. Responsibilities include evaluating scan results for severity, validating developer mitigations, and ensuring software cybersecurity specifications are met.
You will also participate in meetings with developers to discuss software assurance and its progress.Work Location: Huntsville, ALThis position requires 100% onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Software Assurance evaluations to ensure sustainable, maintainable, testable, and survivable software development.
- Mentor junior Software IV&V Analysts.
- Develop and maintain DevSecOps pipelines in secure environments.
- Perform independent software verification and validation.
- Develop and document complex software architectures and designs.
- Develop verification plans, test procedures, and unit tests.
- Select and deploy SAST, SCA, and DAST tools.
- Provide expertise in software domain areas and adherence to standards.
Relevant Technologies:
- DevSecOps processes and tools
- Azure Cloud Environment
- Containerization technologies, preferably Kubernetes
- SAST Tools like Fortify, Coverity, Klocwork, SonarQube
- SCA Tools like BlackDuck, JFrog X-Ray, PaloAlto Prisma
- DAST Tools, specifically the VADER framework
Requirements:
- Proficiency in programming languages (C/C++, ADA, Python, Java, Perl, Go, etc.)
- Experience in embedded software development, systems engineering, or mission system integration on tactical platforms.
- Agile product development knowledge, including CI/CD testing and delivery.
- Experience with software factory maintenance and upgrades.
- Collaboration skills with various product team members.
- Equivalent of 10-15 years of experience through a combination of education, military experience, or work.
- Secret clearance required before starting.
- DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level II Certificate or higher.
- Passing a background check and enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest requirements.
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge in software testing methods.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, including Azure Cloud, Linux OS, Kubernetes, Helm, and YAML.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic development environment.
- Experience with a range of development tools such as GitLab, Gradle, Maven, JFrog Artifactory, ELK Stack, SonarQube, Fortify, BlackDuck, CodeDx, Klocwork, and others.
- Dynamic Analysis experience is not required but highly desired.
