We are currently hiring a Staff level Software Engineer focused on building and maintaining XMTP.
What You’ll Be Working On:
- Design and manage XMTP’s forthcoming high throughput rollup and decentralized node network.
- Write and deploy XMTP smart contracts on the rollup.
- Index data from the rollup and store chain history in our nodes.
- Ensure strong consistency between onchain and offchain data.
- Design resiliency against re-orgs in lower chains by republishing any lost transactions.
Your Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, staff level.
- Extensive experience operating and maintaining an EVM compatible chain in production (L1, L2, L3).
- Have deployed and ran a chain in production, including involvement in choosing the parameters of the chain and monitoring uptime in a live system.
- Experience working close to the execution or consensus layers of a blockchain.
- Have committed code to a L1/L2/L3 blockchain.
- Proficiency in Solidity, with experience in shipping Solidity smart contracts to production.
- Expert-level Solidity developer with contracts that have undergone security audits.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working in open source and communicating with the public.
- Messaging experience.
