E-commerce Merchandising Specialist

As the E-commerce Merchandising Specialist, you are responsible for creating and leading comprehensive site merchandising strategies that align with our marketing, product, and financial goals. You will drive an increase in merchandising, offerings, and sales while providing support and deepening our relationships with suppliers and partners. You will build partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure our merchandising offers meet offline and online member experience and business needs. Your keen understanding of our consumers ensures we develop a frictionless merchandising site experience and maximize opportunities to drive traffic and increase conversion.

Responsibilities:


  • Coop Advertising Planning + Execution: Responsible for developing and executing co-op advertising campaigns in partnership with cruise line brands. This role includes strategizing joint marketing initiatives, managing deployment, and ensuring alignment with cruise line and company objectives. Ability to analyze market trends, deploy media placements, and track campaign performance to maximize ROI for all partners involved. Strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential for success.
  • Site Merchandising: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute merchandising strategies that enhance the customer journey. Implement site merchandising tactics, such as cross-selling, upselling, and product recommendations to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Product Presentation: Ensure all products are displayed optimally on the website, including accurate descriptions, high-quality images, and appropriate categorization. Regularly update product pages to reflect seasonal offerings and promotional content.
  • Promotional Planning: Assist in planning and executing online promotions. Ensure promotions are properly reflected on the website and are aligned with overall marketing campaigns.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, including conversion rates, click-through rates, and sales data. Use insights to optimize product placement, content, and promotions and make data-driven improvement recommendations.
  • User Experience Optimization: Collaborate with UX/UI teams to enhance site navigation, search functionality, and overall user experience. Identify and address pain points in the customer journey to increase engagement and reduce exit rates.
  • Content Management: Manage the online content calendar, ensuring that all merchandising content is up-to-date and relevant. Work closely with content creators to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across the website.
  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitive analyses regularly to stay informed about industry trends and emerging practices in digital merchandising. Use the findings to inform and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and IT teams to ensure that web merchandising strategies are aligned with broader business goals. Act as a critical point of contact for all web merchandising-related inquiries.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site audits to ensure all products, promotions, and content are displayed correctly and functioning as intended. Quickly address any issues that may arise to maintain a seamless customer experience.
  • Project Management: Assist in the planning and execution of web merchandising projects, ensuring that all milestones are met on time and within budget. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position successfully.
  • An entrepreneurial & resourceful approach with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with change.
  • A high degree of organizational skills and hold yourself to high accuracy.
  • Ability to influence across the organization regarding structured, organized workflow to multi-layer teams with cross-functional dependencies.
  • Strong, professional, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Suite & Adobe, including Word, Outlook, Photoshop, and Excel
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong proofreading and QA skills
