Birth to Five Helpline SpecialistWe are looking for an Early Childhood/Mental Health Specialist to support callers (parents, caregivers, and professionals) with a wide range of questions and concerns about children birth to five.

In this role you will:


  •  Provide individualized, professional phone consultation to respond to the wide range ofquestions and concerns of Arizona families with young children (ages birth to five) andcaregivers and professionals working with children birth to five.
  •  Provide occasional home visits to help families navigate challenges associated with caringfor infants in the first year of life such as, fussiness, excessive crying, sleeping problemsand feeding difficulties.
  • Maintain time-sensitive data entry associated with incoming calls.
  •  Retrieve and maintain up to date listings of resource/referral information and participatein marketing and outreach efforts in the community.
  • Provide presentations to groups of parents and professionals on the Birth to Five Helplineand on topics related to parenting and early childhood.

What it takes:


 Master’s degree in Child Development, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or relatedfield with at least five years of experience working with young children and theirfamilies.• Bilingual English/Spanish language proficiency.• Extensive knowledge of child development and parenting/caregiving.• Training in and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion practices.• Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.• Excellent organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills, basiccomputer skills (Microsoft Word, e-mail, Excel, etc.), and valid Arizona driver’s license.Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card - OR - must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.Additional Preferences:• Experience working in early care and education settings.• Excellent communication skills in group settings and understanding of groupprocesses; experience working closely alongside a team of professionals.• Knowledge of community resources.
