Warehouse Manager - Nashville Area

OVERVIEW:


Directs the operations of the logistics facility and distribution center.     Leads and directs strategic planning for logistics, materials/distribution management and service delivery. Responsible fiscal controls, real time financial reporting and defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels.   Builds and maintains relationships with customers to identify opportunities for new services/ products. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develops methods and procedures for managing material orders to support customer demands and implementing cost controls to minimizing cost impact to Betacom.
  • Manage all material orders to include working with construction managers to determine upcoming material needs.  Establish and maintain adequate material stock levels, follows company purchasing and receiving processes.   
  • Develop necessary procedures and ensure that used/failed components are returned to appropriate parties in accordance with project specific service level agreements.
  • Ensure Betacom is in compliance with laws and regulations and that all the health and safety requirements are met (e.g., OSHA, fire inspections, hazardous materials, forklifts, loading docks, material storage).
  • Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing/continuing/monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Manage and track company assets by updating and ensuring the accuracy of information in company databases.
  • Manage test equipment maintenance schedule and ensure that all test equipment maintenance and calibration is up to date.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance schedule and ensure that vehicle maintenance is performed as scheduled. Responsible for conducting periodic vehicle inventory.
  • Manage, train, and develop assigned staff. Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity.
  • Participate in personnel development at all levels through talent acquisition, performance management, providing opportunity for high performers, education, communication, expectation setting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state and local government laws.

  • Manages employee performance including recruiting, retention, and termination. Facilitates employee performance reviews and manages periodic employee merit increases. 
  • Responsible for ensuring all company, and OSHA, safety practices are followed.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. 
  • Promotes a positive work environment and addresses employee concerns.
  • Responsible for employee training, mentoring, coaching, and creating employee development plans. Manages employee rewards and recognition.
  • Promotes and maintains quality control and safety in accordance with guidelines.
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for employee performance documentation in accordance with company policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 – 10 years of experience in Warehouse management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • License (a must) and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Class A or B CDL license (preferred)
