Senior Machine Learning Scientist

They are a seasoned researcher with a track record of impactful contributions, strategic thinking, and effective collaboration. They play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our machine-learning research efforts.

Additional tasks and duties may be assigned as needed.● Research Leadership and Innovation: Leads and contributes to impactful machine learning research projects. Drives innovation in the development of advanced algorithms and methodologies. Provides technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level researchers.● Operational Excellence and Program Management: Optimizes research processes, workflows, and resource allocation.Manages research programs, overseeing multiple projects and teams.Ensures the successful execution of complex research initiatives.● Collaboration and Industry Impact: Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Engages with industry stakeholders to address real-world challenges. Contributes machine learning expertise to drive industry impact.● Strategic Planning and Contribution to Research Community: Contributes to the strategic planning of the organization's research initiatives. Actively participates in the broader research community, including conference involvement. Fosters global collaborations and partnerships to enhance research outcomes.● Mentorship and Team Development: Mentors and provides guidance to junior and mid-level researchers. Actively contributes to the professional development of research teams. Fosters a collaborative and innovative team culture.

The minimum years and specific experience required to perform this job.● 6 to 8+ years of relevant experience in machine learning research.● Proven track record of impactful research projects and leadership. Other preferred experience for the position, including length and in what capacity (e.g., operational, management level).● Experience in operational leadership, optimizing research processes.● Exposure to program management at a project or team level.

Key 3-5 specific skills or knowledge required to be able to fulfill the job requirements.● Proven experience in leading or significantly contributing to complex and large-scale research projects.● Demonstrated ability to oversee project timelines, manage resources effectively, and ensure successful research outcomes.● Expertise in strategic planning and execution of an organization's overarching machine learning research agenda.● Contribution to the development and implementation of long-term research strategies.● Extensive experience in mentoring and providing guidance to junior and mid-level researchers.● Leadership in managing and leading research teams, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and innovation.● Continued innovation in the development of novel algorithms, methodologies, or applications.● Track record of contributing groundbreaking ideas to the field of machine learning.● Substantial experience in applying machine learning research to real-world industry problems.● A deep understanding of the practical implications and challenges of deploying machine learning models in real-world scenarios.
