About the team

Dialpad’s Integrations team plays an essential role in developing a robust layer of integrations that seamlessly connect Dialpad's products with external services, including CRMs, ticketing systems and workforce management platforms. Our end-to-end products deliver intelligent workflow integrations with over 70 business applications such as Salesforce, Slack, ServiceNow, Okta, and more. Our teams are highly collaborative and comprise cross-disciplinary professionals, including Product Managers, Designers, QA specialists, as well as Engineers specializing in Full-Stack Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Telephony.

Your role


As a Senior Engineering Manager of the Integrations team, you will lead a group of +10 Mid to Senior Full Stack Engineers and Engineering Managers located in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Vancouver, Canada; and Bengaluru, India.
You will collaborate closely with other engineering managers and teams also focusing on integrations to ensure alignment and efficiency while delivering multiple simultaneous projects with cross-functional stakeholders. While this is primarily a leadership role,

occasional hands-on technical tasks may be required


(Please note that the interview process involves two technical interviews: coding + design).This position reports to our Director of Engineering, based in Vancouver, Canada, and is located in our

London

Office on a hybrid schedule. Candidates are expected to maintain flexible working hours to ensure overlapping with
GMT, IST, and PST timezones for team meetings, discussions & escalations.

What you’ll do


  • Lead and support a team of mid-level to highly experienced engineers, fostering their performance and career growth through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Help define a 1-3 year roadmap and vision for the Integrations team.
  • Collaborate with your direct reports to consistently support their career growth.
  • Evaluate technical design and architecture documents on an ongoing basis, to ensure scalability and alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Work closely with geographically distributed peers, including engineering managers, technical leaders, product managers, designers, support engineers and other stakeholders to align on engineering-wide priorities.
  • Own and drive large projects end-to-end including requirements gathering, planning, resource allocation, and sometimes execution.
  • Promote and implement effective engineering processes and policies.
  • Contribute to the team growth by recruiting candidates from diverse backgrounds.
  • Get hands-on when needed, providing technical support and contributing to implementations.

What you'll bring


  • 6-8 years experience leading high-performing engineering teams, including managing and delivering cross-functional or multi-team projects.
  • 10+ years of professional experience as an engineer or engineering leader.
  • Proven experience in the development of Integrations & APIs.
  • Strong hiring and interviewing skills.
  • Experience in onboarding and mentoring engineers.
