Who You Are
Spot & Tango is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our NY HQ team! In this role, you will report directly to our Senior Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities
- Timely processing of Accounts Payable
- Support of the month end closing process
- Ensuring proper documentation of all relevant accounting procedures
- Maintaining our monthly reconciliation of BS / IS accounts
- Support of the payroll process
- Working closely with leadership on the annual audit
- Support the broader finance and accounting team on an as needed basis
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting; Licensed CPA or working towards a CPA preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Preference to work in a dynamic, high-growth startup environment
- Experience with Excel and ERP systems, Netsuite preferred but not required
- Solid understanding of US GAAP concepts and financial reporting
- Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
