We are now looking for a talented
Senior
Backend Engineer to join one of our Platform squads (IAM & Billing), currently composed of 4 Software Engineers, 1 Engineering Manager, and 1 Product Manager.Our tech stack includes : Node.js, TypeScript, PHP, SQL, NoSQL, AWS, Docker, EventBridge, CircleCI and GitHub Actions. đ Your Role as a Senior Backend Engineer
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Ageras, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing access management and billing systems that power our services. Your expertise in backend technologies, clean architecture, and cloud environments will be key in delivering solutions that meet business requirements within a highly regulated sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and optimizing our platforms focused on user and access management, billing, and ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Contributing to a unified technical architecture and aligning technical domains under a shared vision.
- Writing efficient, reusable code, performing tests, and participating in code reviews to uphold high-quality standards.
- Promoting best development practices such as domain-driven design, clean code, pair programming, and mentoring.
- Collaborating with domain and platform teams to design, develop, and implement efficient applications.
- Maintaining detailed, high-quality internal documentation to support collaboration and knowledge transfer across teams.
đ Your profile :
You will be a good fit to join the team if:Â
- You have 5+ years of experience in a technical environment similar to ours.
- Youâre highly proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, particularly with Node.js and/or Nest.js.
- You have solid expertise in clean code principles, microservices architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) for building scalable and maintainable systems.
- Youâre familiar with event-driven design principles (event sourcing, CQRS, pub/sub patterns).
- You have hands-on expertise working in Cloud environments like AWS or GCP.
- You have a good understanding of product and design challenges and work effectively with Product Managers and designers.
- Ideally, youâve worked in highly regulated sectors like banking or insurance and are familiar with user management, access management, and billing systems.
- Youâre comfortable working in English and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- You have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
