The Role


The Legal Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Legal Department with litigation intake and management, drafting legal documents, investigations support, records maintenance and organization, e-filing, docketing, carefully tracking deadlines, and general administrative support for a small legal team. The role is primarily a litigation assistance role supporting in-house counsel.The Legal Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Deputy General Counsel.

Responsibilities


  • Draft and revise legal forms, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery under the supervision of counsel.
  • Open, organize and maintain litigation files. Develop a working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations related to the consumer finance industry.
  • Coordinate all e-filing and a robust docket of litigation matters ensuring no deadlines are missed.
  • General office support.

Requirements


  • Minimum 7-10 years’ of litigation paralegal or legal assistant experience.
  • Proficiency in G-suite.
  • Proficiency in Logikcull.
  • Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Financial services experience a plus.
  • Ablity to think critically, solve problems, multi-task, and prioritize.
