The Financial Specialist is responsible for meeting with all incoming clients to go over member responsibility and financial documentation to complete the admissions and intake process. The Financial Specialist should have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, strong written and verbal communication skills, organization skills, and the ability to effectively multitask while paying attention to detail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitates appointments with all admitted clients to complete financial documentation
- Assists clients in updating their Coordination of Benefits with the insurance companies when applicable
- Types and performs data entry in Salesforce and Kipu.
- Effectively utilizes available resources: Provider Portals, Salesforce, Adobe Sign, Outlook, Uber Health, Egencia, and Kipu.
- Reviews and completes data entry for third-party vendor invoices
- Collects credit card authorization forms for all clients making a financial contribution to their treatment episode. If the authorization form was not received prior to admission, follow up is made with the client or financially responsible party to collect on private pay treatment fees or member responsibility.
- Collects credit card authorization forms for all applicable third-party vendors
- Facilitates conference calls with the financially responsible party to resolve any payment processing issues
- Assists clients in completing their enrollment - if utilizing services through our business partner AblePay for travel promissory notes and member responsibility.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the facility staff and health professional affiliates
- Follows HIPAA regulations regarding client information.
- Understands federal and state requirements regarding client confidentiality and the principles of maintaining protected health information (PHI).
- Communicates and works effectively with all Financial Specialist team members and supervisors.
- Attends and participate in company meetings and training.
- Correctly documents his/her hours into Zinnia Health’s webclock system
- Follows and conforms to Zinnia Health’s drug and alcohol work policy
- Always practices customer service etiquette.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma Required, higher level education preferred
- Technical Phone skills
- Proven experience in treatment and recovery information dissemination
- Computer expertise – basic
Salary Description$19-$21 per hour
