In this Director of Product Management role, you'll be a force multiplier for our product organization, leading both through the growth and development of your teams and through the products they build. You'll create an environment where product managers thrive, grow, and deliver exceptional value to customers.
Leading a group of empowered product teams focused on making Honeycomb immediately valuable to new users, you'll build high-trust, high-accountability environments where teams are oriented toward outcomes rather than output, practicing continuous discovery and delivering value in small batches.You are a leader who believes great products come from investing in great people. You know how to help product managers develop their craft while maintaining high standards for outcomes. You understand that sustainable velocity comes from empowered teams working in small batches with tight customer feedback loops. What You’ll Do In the Role:
Reporting to the VP of Product, you'll lead the product management function for one of our product domains, including instrumentation, frontend observability, and initial customer experience.You'll drive our product strategy for customer acquisition and early success, defining how we can make observability immediately valuable to new users.As a hands-on product leader, you'll immerse yourself in the Day 0 to Day 1 experience of engineers adopting Honeycomb and help your team create compelling onboarding experiences.As a member of the R&D leadership team, you'll build strong working relationships with peer directors and ensure smooth handoffs as customers progress from Land to Expand phases.You'll define and promote practices that make Honeycomb instantly accessible while setting customers up for long-term success.You'll establish KPIs that measure the impact of early customer experience improvements, from first contact through successful activation.You'll collaborate across domains to ensure a coherent customer journey from Day 0 through Day 2 and beyond.
