Position Overview:
The Senior Director of Product Management for 5G Devices is a vital role within Inseego as the company broadens its 5G device portfolio, whilst in parallel increases its focus on offering high value software and services to customers. The role is primarily focused on creating and delivering an exciting and diversified 5G device portfolio.The role requires a proven can-do, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, with a passion for delivering high-quality customer experiences, and focuses on products that power 5G solutions.Responsibilities:
- The Senior Director must excel at clearly articulating and executing a portfolio vision and strategy, driving a broad range of next generation 5G devices rapidly to market.
- Creating and executing a 5G device roadmap covering mobile hotspots, indoor/outdoor FWA routers and IoT gateways.
- Delivering products that delight customers by being easy to install, offer high performance and competitively priced.
- Lead the product relationship with North American carriers, including understanding evolving carrier technology roadmaps and leading RFP responses.
- Develop deep understanding of customer needs for both Carrier and Channel routes to market serving SMB, Enterprise and IoT/Industrial segments.
- Bring a solution focus and drive collaboration within the product management and engineering team to ensure an optimum end to end customer experience.
- Coordinate and lead a cross-functional team of marketing, finance, UX, IT, engineering, sales, operations and support, to navigate the development, launch, and maintenance of our products.
- Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, business case, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch.
Experience/Requirements:
- Proven track record in building mission critical or business critical wireless solutions with at least 5 years experience in Product Management.
- Previous work experience with Cellular is essential and experience with Network Slicing, eSim or Wi-Fi highly desirable.
- Ability to translate customer needs into user stories and product requirements; track record of managing and producing deliverables that include product and marketing requirements and product briefs.
- Excellent communication skills (written, presentation, and verbal) including with customers and partners in-person.
- Travel as required by the business, to visit customers, carriers or Inseego offices, anticipated 15-20%.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
- MBA not required but an asset.
Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000This base pay range will vary depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
