Network Administrator

This position is on-site at JBPHH Hawaii. There is no opportunity for remote work.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls, focusing on the 3000 and 5000 series models.• Configure and optimize security policies, NAT rules, and access controls on Palo Alto firewalls.• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve firewall-related issues to ensure network security and performance.• Perform firmware updates, security patching, and periodic system upgrades for Palo Alto appliances.• Analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.• Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement secure and scalable network solutions.• Support and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues, leveraging Cisco CCNA knowledge.• Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, documentation, and configurations.• Perform routine security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies.• Respond to security incidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence.• Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions for junior team members or other departments.• Conduct daily network checks, vulnerability management, system upgrades, and apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).This is a full time, salaried, exempt position.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience designing, managing, and/or administering Cisco Unified Communications Manager systems.Certifications:• CompTIA Security+• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
The incumbent of this position will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to maintain a Government granted security clearance.
