Engineer (Consumables/NPI Systems)
US – California – Menlo ParkFull TimeJR100648PacBio is looking for an Engineer (Consumables/NPI Systems) who will provide support for manufacturing of biologically integrated semiconductor chips, including software validation, debugging, development and quality control. Work at home may be permitted within commuting distance of the 1305 O'Brien Drive, Menlo Park, CA 94025 office.Responsibilities:
- Work on improving and validating manufacturing solution and internally developed instrumentation automation software.
- Coordinate with R&D, software developers, IT, and user groups as needed.
- Take ownership of defining manufacturing systems roadmap.
- Collaborate with IT to deliver and maintain validation of manufacturing solutions and represent Manufacturing and NPI to propose solutions to other teams.
- Manage development/deployment timelines to ensure support for process development and new product introduction, and own functional specifications review and documentation for new development.
- Serve as expert in manufacturing and quality process and adhere to company policies for risk management.
- Perform risk assessment and create traceability matrices; and prepare business requirements, validation plans, protocols, and reports.
- Proactively troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure performance and reliability, and perform other duties as required.
Required:
- Master's degree in Manufacturing, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering field
- At least 1 year in position offered or as a System Verification & Validation Engineer
- Analyze software requirements specifications, and develop detailed test plans, cases, and data for testing functionality, performance, GUI, security, and usability
- Prepare Software Verification Document template and work instructions acc. to quality and FDA regulatory standards re: medical devices
- Git solutions (Bitbucket, Jira, Bugzilla)
- Use of relational database
- Use of JMP, Matlab, C# and object-oriented programming languages
- JAMA, Cognition Cockpit, Arena
- Failure mode and effect analysis
- Pareto
- Linux, Jira, Bugzilla, Helix ALM
- Oscilloscope
