Position Overview:

Classmates.com is seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Manager to lead the company’s social media strategy and execution. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Social Media Manager will play a critical role in building brand awareness, driving engagement, and supporting the growth of Total Paid Subscribers (TPS) and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of growing social media audiences, creating compelling content, and driving measurable results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Social Media Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across key platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms).
    • Create and manage a content calendar that aligns with marketing campaigns and business goals.
    • Collaborate with the Content, Design, and Email teams to develop engaging multimedia content.

  • Community Engagement & Growth:
    • Build and nurture an active and engaged online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
    • Identify and engage with influencers and brand advocates to amplify reach and drive engagement.
    • Monitor and analyze audience sentiment and feedback to inform future content and campaigns.

  • Content Creation & Curation:
    • Oversee the creation of high-quality, on-brand content, including posts, videos, stories, and live streams.
    • Leverage user-generated content (UGC) to build authenticity and trust.
    • Stay up-to-date on social media trends and platform updates to keep Classmates.com’s content fresh and relevant.

  • Analytics & Performance Tracking:
    • Monitor key social media metrics, including reach, engagement, click-through rates, and conversions.
    • Use data-driven insights to optimize content and campaign performance.
    • Deliver regular reports and insights to the VP of Marketing and executive team.

  • Paid Social Campaigns:
    • Collaborate with the Paid Media team to develop and execute paid social campaigns that drive subscriber acquisition and engagement.
    • Continuously test and refine ad creatives, targeting, and bidding strategies to maximize ROI.

  • Brand Voice & Compliance:
    • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all social media platforms.
    • Ensure compliance with platform guidelines and legal requirements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the SEO, Email, and Omnichannel Marketing teams to ensure a cohesive brand presence across channels.
    • Partner with the Product and Customer Support teams to address customer inquiries and improve the overall user experience.

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in a subscription-based or SaaS business.
    • Proven track record of growing social media audiences and driving engagement.
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
    • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or Buffer).
    • Excellent communication, copywriting, and storytelling skills.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
    • Experience working in a private equity-backed company is a plus.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

    Salary Range:


    • Min: $122,100
    • Mid: $139,700
    • Max: $159,200

    The pay range reflects the salary amount the Company reasonably expects to pay for the position. It is not a guarantee of actual compensation or a specific payment amount to any candidate.
