The Project Manager is an integral part of the CSE’s Transparency and Insights (T&I) team, which supports the organization’s analysis, evaluation, implementation, and marketing and outreach activities of decarbonization programs. The Project Manager is responsible for resource planning, budgets, timelines, and deliverables for research and evaluation projects. The Project Manager works closely with all members of the T&I team, other CSE departments, and CSE’s clients.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Support planning and budgeting of T&I activities in support of CSE administered programs and projects.
- Manage all aspects related to the successful delivery of assigned work including:
- Processing of client contracts, program invoicing, payment, and reporting.
- Identifying resources needs with T&I Leads at the onset of projects.
- Coordinating with T&I Leads to develop and monitor project tasks and milestones, budgets, and schedules.
- Track project activities and expenditures to ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and execute project reporting and preparation of regular metric reports and analysis as requested.
- Document and communicate project changes using project management tools.
- Create project reports, standard operating procedures, and presentations as requested.
- Communicate project health to T&I leads and CSE stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to implement Agile methodologies and lead teams using the Scrum framework. Conduct periodic Agile training sessions as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Sr Project Manager to improve project management standardization and best practices across the department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management through all five phases (initiating, planning, execution, monitoring, closing).
- Successful project management of all six project constraints (scope, quality, scheduling, budget, resources, risk).
- Demonstrated high-level of abilities of various computer software programs and fluency in using standard office software packages such as MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Project Management software including Teamwork and PowerBI.
- Extremely detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to perform within required deadlines.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
- Strong organizational, time management and planning skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to operationalize concepts by translating them into concreate tasks, budgets, and timelines.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, changing priorities, stressful situations, and complex assignments.
- Ability to take initiative, be proactive and work with minimal supervision.
- Curious, motivated, pro-active and a self-starter keen to solve problems.
- Ability to interact at the highest level of management, both internally and externally, in a constructive and collaborative manner and in way that appropriately represents CSE.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of related experience required.
- Familiarity with Electric Vehicle (EV) policies and landscape preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
Licenses, Certificates or Registrations:
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
- Agile certification preferred.
