Description
The System Administrator will play a critical role in supporting IT operations at our Pune location while contributing to the global management and monitoring of IT systems. This individual will provide hands-on IT support to the India Development Centre (IDC) staff and collaborate with the US-based IT team on infrastructure monitoring and global IT initiatives. The position involves ensuring the availability, security, and reliability of IT services in alignment with corporate policies and standards.
Requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact for IT support at the IDC, assisting end-users with hardware and software issues.
- Perform account provisioning and deprovisioning, manage access permissions, and enforce security best practices.
- Monitor global IT infrastructure alerts, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate as needed.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals for the IDC.
- Administer and troubleshoot M365, including Intune/MDM, and assist with other corporate IT systems.
- Collaborate with the US IT team to manage Azure and AWS resources, ensuring uptime and performance.
- Conduct basic networking tasks such as troubleshooting and maintaining local network systems.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and updates in the knowledge base.
- Provide after-hours IT support to align with global operations and ensure business continuity.
- Support IT-related projects and rollouts at the IDC.
Required Skills & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in system administration or an IT support role.
- Strong expertise in managing M365, Intune/MDM, and network systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS; familiarity with GCP is a plus.
- Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong understanding of IT security practices and infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
