Key responsibilities:
- Develop, optimise and maintain the Journee runtime and streaming protocol.
- Troubleshoot and enhance system performance for game engine-driven applications, focusing on Windows-Linux compatibility by leveraging technologies such as Wine.
- Collaborate on innovations in streaming quality, including testing to ensure our streaming solutions excel under various network conditions.
- Expand our Journee runtime to enable our infrastructure AI model inference.
Who we are looking for
- Proven experience in system programming for both Windows and Linux.
- Strong proficiency in C programming.
- Proven experience in graphics programming, in particular with rendering APIs such as DirectX, Vulkan or OpenGL.
- Expertise in profiling and optimising real-time, high-performance applications.
- Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Proven ability to solve intricate, low-level issues within operating systems and game engines
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with inter-process communication (IPC).
- Experience with low-latency video streaming systems.
- Embedded programming expertise is highly transferable to this role.
- Knowledge of Docker
- Experience with Wine, Proton or VKD3D.
- Experience with AI inference (diffusion models, world models, NeRFs, Gaussian Splats, etc.)
