About the role:

The Proposal Writer is an exciting multi-faceted position that is responsible for writing, editing, and ensuring the timely delivery of sales proposals, rough orders of magnitude, and presentations. The Proposal Writer works collaboratively with our Sales, Account Management, Channel, Strategic Partnerships, Marketing, Solution Engineering, and Operations teams to help ensure all deliverables are compelling and audience-focused, and reports directly to the Director of Sales Operations

What You’ll Do:


  • Compose compelling, high-quality, and winning proposals that articulate the benefits and value of Dataprise’s powerhouse technology solutions and which are appropriate for the intended audience
  • Drive the RFX process, including running kickoff meetings, coordinating the bid assessment stage, analyzing the probability of win, keeping all stakeholders on schedule, composing a winning proposal, and ensuring its timely delivery
  • Participate in win/loss reviews and use lessons learned to drive meaningful deal qualification discussions
  • Develop customized sales presentations that showcase our capabilities, educate our customers, and are both high-quality and appropriate for the intended audience
  • Work alongside our Sales teams, Solution Architects, Marketing, and other subject matter experts to create persuasive content that helps close sales opportunities
  • Introduce and deliver new strategic initiatives on a regular basis, which are designed to help the Sales organization achieve its overall revenue and profitability goals
  • Analyze existing and potential content to ensure all written material is consistent with the organization’s brand, message, business objectives, and stylistic standards

What Skills & Experience You’ll Need:


  • Several years of writing experience, preferably with an IT focus
  • A degree in English, Communications, or related field
  • Strong written/verbal communication, editing, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the IT industry and terminology preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with Dynamics CRM is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capability to work independently and in a team structure
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines

Compensation:


  • Dataprise is committed to maintaining a positive work environment by ensuring that compensation across the Company is managed in a competitive, consistent, and fair manner. Each Dataprise employee will be compensated in line with their specific scope of responsibility, skill level, and educational background, in addition to the projected impact on the success of the Company.
  • We have a comprehensive Compensation Management System which establishes the guidelines we use in making compensation decisions and is comprised of compensation policies, salary structures, salary grades, incentive target guidelines, job descriptions, and career charts.
  • This position’s Salary Range is $65,000-$75,000 (NOTE: this is the range at the national average level; specific salaries offered will be adjusted higher/lower due to the local labor market of the candidate).
