About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to build, support, and optimize the toolsets that power our cybersecurity services. This role is essential to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our Security Operations Center (SOC), Managed Security Services, Project-Based Security Advisory Services, and virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) services.
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will focus on implementing and maintaining Microsoft-based security solutions, including Microsoft Lighthouse, Azure Sentinel, and Defender. You’ll work closely with our security teams to ensure the tools are finely tuned to support real-time monitoring, threat detection, and remediation. What You’ll Do:
- Build and Optimize Security Tools: Configure, manage, and optimize Microsoft Lighthouse, Azure, Sentinel, and Defender to support multi-tenant security operations.
- Integration and Automation: Develop and maintain integrations between tools to improve workflows and automate security processes.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitor and troubleshoot security tool performance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Support Managed Services: Provide technical support for the delivery of SOC and Managed Security Services, focusing on tool configuration and optimization.
- Project-Based Tool Setup: Collaborate with advisory teams to implement and configure tools for project-based engagements.
- vCISO Tool Enablement: Support vCISO services by maintaining tools for risk management, compliance reporting, and endpoint security.
- Stay Current: Research and recommend new features or improvements to existing tools, particularly in the Microsoft ecosystem.
What Skills & Experience You’ll Need:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity engineering role, particularly working with Microsoft security tools.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Lighthouse, Azure Sentinel, and Defender.
- Familiarity with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools
- Familiarity with a broad range of cybersecurity tools.
- Understanding of multi-tenant environments and security operations workflows.
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to security tools.
- Analytical thinking to optimize tool configurations and enhance service delivery.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certifications
