Position Overview:


Hive Group seeks a Senior Proposal Manager to join a growing and dynamic governmentcontractor. The Senior Proposal Manager will bring a proven track record of successfully leadingfederal proposals from task order responses to strategic bids to solve the challenging missionsacross the government market. This position is remote located in National Capital Region - VA, MD, WV within 2 hours drive of Hive Group corporate office.

Role and Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage multiple proposals at the same time
  • Engage with leadership to craft proposal strategy and develop compelling messaging to ensure win strategy, technical solution, win themes, discriminators, compliance, and clear understanding of the requirements are well-articulated and consistent throughout final proposal documents
  • Develop and refine processes from RFI through RFP submission
  • Work with SMEs and collect information for specific proposal assignments
  • Work with the proposal team to write/edit/proofread proposal sections and/or prepare required proposal components (e.g., tables, acronym lists, appendices, etc.) including engaging in proposal writing
  • Drive proposal process to meet milestones per corporate processes (e.g., color reviews) and provide support with writing and editing (technical and format)
  • Set schedules, create outlines, create compliance matrices, lead proposal kick-offs, guide content creators, and manage graphics
  • Interpret technical and management requirements of Federal Government solicitations (e.g., RFPs, RTEPs, RFIs), recommend response strategy and make certain proposal submissions are compliant with applicable RFP instructions
  • Perform final proofreading, editing, and formatting to ensure high-quality content and appearance of final proposals
  • Lead lessons learned meetings and implement actions to improve process efficiency
  • Prepare and deliver the production/packaging for proposal submissions
  • Update, refine, and continually enhance the Proposal Standard Operating Procedures
  • Manage Google-based proposal management system. Keep site current with examples of successful gold plate proposal responses (e.g., management plan, transition plan)

Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience writing professional services proposals
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving business organization with the ability/ willingness to work extended hours to meet dynamically changing needs and delivery schedules
  • Knowledge of Federal procurement processes, standard solicitation instructions, and proposal development methods
  • Excellent writer and editor
  • Expert Microsoft Word skills (including templates, styles, macros) and desktop publishing
