Position Summary
The Foreman oversees renovation projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This role is responsible for managing budget variances, supervising field crews, and maintaining quality control and project timelines. The Foreman holds Crew Members accountable for delivering accurate, timely work and prioritizes safety and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Functions
- Supervise, train, and coach a team of Crew Members
- Lead the development of rehabilitation homes assigned
- Proactively identify potential issues with the home that could impact the property’s value.
- Handle renovation projects at multiple properties.
- Strategize with the Project Manager to understand priority tasks and timeline completion
- Communicate any potential adjustments or hurdles to overcome in order to complete the task accurately and timely
- Conduct routine inspections to identify issues that require attention or repair.
- Assess job significance and assign Crew Members to appropriate job site tasks
- Prioritize and document repairs per policy and standard operating procedure
- Ensure safety precautions are followed and updating safety kits on a needed basis
- Facilitate weekly job site safety meetings and record action items for future reference
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of single family/residential construction experience
- Residential remodeling, construction, and maintenance experience
- Knowledge of codes, municipal by-laws, inspection, estimating, and planning
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Requires working outside and inside structures at times without HVAC.
