ApplyDescription
Company Background
Century Therapeutics is developing novel allogeneic living cell products for oncology and autoimmune disease that overcome the limitations of current cell and gene therapies. Century’s genetically engineered, iPSC-derived immune effector cell products are designed to specifically target hematologic and solid tumor cancers, as well as deplete pathogenic B cells in several autoimmune conditions. Our commitment to developing off-the-shelf cell therapies will expand patient access and provide an unparalleled opportunity to advance therapies.Century’s foundational technology is built on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) that have unlimited self-renewing capacity.
This enables complex cellular engineering to produce controlled cell banks of modified cells that can be expanded and differentiated into desired immune effector cells, which can supply vast amounts of allogeneic, homogeneous therapeutic products. This platform differentiates Century from other approaches that utilize non-renewable donor-derived cells.

- An advanced degree (preferably PhD) with a substantial and demonstratable computational and data analysis component
- 5+ years of experience whereby programming and/or software development was a central part of your role (may be coincident with PhD research)
- Excellent scientific, logical, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with software development, industry practices, and related tooling.
- Strong programming skills in Python and R.
- Independent, self-directed, and focused on completing objectives.
- Proficient with data visualization tools (ggplot, matplotlib, plotly, etc.)
- Experience with data analysis, preparing and processing data, computational pipelines, etc.
Desired:
- Experience working with scientific data, particularly gene expression data
- Training in biology including a robust knowledge of gene regulation and expression, and familiarity with basic cell biology and genetics.
- Some training in Statistics, including probability theory, statistical distributions, linear regression, and common statistical tests.
- Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, command line tools, and text processing.
