As a Senior Product Designer at PayZen, you will play a key role in shaping user experiences that make healthcare more accessible and affordable. Your work will directly impact how patients and providers interact with our products, ensuring intuitive, engaging, and seamless experiences. This is a highly impactful role that requires working with product and cross-functional teams to deliver design solutions that solve healthcare affordability problems. We’re looking for team members eager to contribute to the growth of a product that’s helping every American by increasing the affordability of healthcare.This role will be based in our San Francisco office 3 days per week.
What you will do
- Design user experiences that simplify complex workflows and increase accessibility for patients and providers.
- Own end-to-end design processes, from research and wireframing to high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business and user needs into elegant and intuitive design solutions.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and interviews to inform design decisions and iterate on designs.
- Develop and maintain a robust design system to ensure consistency across PayZen's products.
- Create detailed UX deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interaction designs that effectively communicate the design intent.
- Design intuitive and accessible user experiences for users with varying levels of technological proficiency, ensuring simplicity and ease of use for all demographics
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure that the voice of the user is incorporated into all stages of product development.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in UX design and healthcare technology to ensure PayZen remains at the forefront of innovation.
What you will bring
- 5+ years of experience as a UX Designer, with a portfolio showcasing your design process and successful projects.
- Proven expertise in designing for web and mobile platforms, with a focus on creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design software.
- Hands-on experience conducting user research and usability testing to guide design decisions.
- A strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices for creating inclusive designs.
- Experience developing or maintaining design systems.
- Excellent collaboration skills and a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and defend your design decisions.
- A track record of managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality work in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring every aspect of the design aligns with both user needs and brand standards.
- Familiarity with healthcare or financial products is a plus.
- Ability to work in-person from PayZen’s San Francisco office.
