Overview:


WiredPeople is seeking to hire a Junior Project Manager to join our team! The Junior Project Manager will be responsible for providing project management activities in support of various team initiatives. Ideal candidates for this role will be a consultant or business analyst with interest in project management or recently certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).  This position will be full-time and onsite in Tallahassee, FL, however a hybrid work schedule may be allowed once selected for this position. 

Essential Functions:


  • Schedule and facilitate meetings, which includes but is not limited to preparing agendas and meeting minutes by documenting document decisions, identify issues, and identifying action items.
  • Draft use cases, process maps, and standard operating procedures.
  • Draft design documentation.
  • Draft training documentation such as user manuals.
  • Deliver training to users.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and prioritization.
  • Perform needs analysis, analyze business processes, develop process maps, and assist team members.
  • Draft functional and technical specifications.
  • Develop test cases, test plans, and conduct UAT.
  • Facilitate UAT with the team members.
  • Write specific, measurable, attainable, reasonable, and traceable (SMART) business requirements in a format which includes role or persona, the need, and the outcome.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering with team members.
  • Draft and maintain project documents (including but not limited to project charters, project plans, status reports, and schedules) related to projects being managed.
  • Gather data, conduct data analysis, and create dashboards and reports.
  • Correspond (verbally and in written formats) with project teams and other stakeholders regarding project activities, deliverables, and status.

Qualifications:


  • Certified PMP or slated to sit for PMP exam within the next 6 months.
  • 2 years of experience:
  • Communicating project updates both orally and in written form with technical staff, executive management, and user staff.
  • Facilitating current state or application analysis sessions and documenting applications through use case process documents and workflow diagrams.
  • Developing project plans.
  • Creating and presenting internal and external status reports and detailed status reports suitable for presentation to the management team.
  • Tracking work tasks and maintaining project schedules (including work breakdown structures).
  • Risk tracking, mitigation, and issue tracking.
  • Delivering projects as per agreed schedule, as per the current technical specification (within scope), and within the approved budget.
  • Meeting facilitation and documentation.
  • Experience in at least two of the following tools: HP Project Portfolio Management, Microsoft Project, Cherwell Software – IT Management Enterprise, Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, or Microsoft Word.

Additional Qualifications:


  • 2 years of experience:
  • Communications development and planning.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and documenting policies, processes, and procedures using use case process documents, workflow diagrams, and drafting of standard operating procedures.
  • Gathering, drafting, and prioritizing requirements.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT), writing test scripts, testing methodologies, and documentation.
  • Drafting functional and technical specifications.
  • Using of Microsoft Visio, Word, and Excel.
  • Technical writing experience including drafting of project documents, reports, and user guides for a variety of stakeholders
