Job Description
As a Developer Relations Engineer at Freshworks, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our Developer Platform and the global developer community. You will lead efforts to foster strong relationships with developers, understand their needs, and advocate for them within Freshworks. Your goal will be to empower developers to build successful applications using our platform, driving engagement and adoption.Key Responsibilities:Community Engagement:Act as the primary point of contact for developers using the Freshworks Developer Platform.
Build and nurture a vibrant developer community through forums, social media, events, and meetups.
Create and deliver presentations, webinars, and tutorials to educate and inspire developers.
Content Creation:Develop comprehensive documentation, sample code, SDKs, and APIs to assist developers in using the Freshworks Developer Platform.
Write blog posts, technical articles, and whitepapers that highlight best practices and innovative uses of the platform.
Advocacy:Advocate for developers' needs within Freshworks, providing feedback to product and engineering teams to improve the developer experience.
Influence the product roadmap by articulating developer pain points and feature requests.
Technical Support:Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for developers using the platform.
Collaborate with support and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Event Management:Plan and execute developer-focused events such as hackathons, workshops, and conferences.
Represent Freshworks at industry events, building relationships with developers, partners, and thought leaders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in software development, with a strong understanding of APIs, SDKs, and developer tools.
Proven experience in a developer relations, evangelism, or advocacy role.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create clear and concise documentation.
Experience organizing and speaking at developer conferences and events.
Passionate about building communities and engaging with developers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel for events and meetups as required.
