The successful candidate will be responsible for producing market-driven research content covering the oil markets, using Kpler’s proprietary data and forecasts. They will be at ease talking to the media as well as attending and speaking at conferences. They will be happy to work in quite a commercial role where there is a strong connection between research, commercial managers and Kpler’s clients and prospects.
Your mission is to:
- Using Kpler’s data and forecasts, identify, research, and report on interesting developments in the oil markets for Kpler’s client base
- Develop, update and finetune Kpler’s proprietary S&D models, focusing on crude oil supply
- Through such insights, and using Kpler’s proprietary information, work closely with the global sales and marketing teams to demonstrate the value of Kpler’s solutions to the energy industry
- Use your experience to enhance market coverage through the development of new models and reports
- Promote research and materials produced within Kpler across all external stakeholders, building relationships with both the mainstream and specialist media
- Collaborate with the data analysis and technical teams to further develop our portfolio of client offerings
It will be a match if you are or have:
- You have 5+ years of prior experience in the analysis of Oil markets
- You are skilled at carrying out complex analyses across multiple datasets using appropriate tools
- You have experience in producing independent market analysis and insights as well as working collaboratively within a team
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in the crude oil markets
- Understanding of physical crude trading and crude differentials
- Knowledge of Caspian or Russian Oil markets
- Experience working with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI or similar)
