This role will be collaborating with vendors, managers, supervisors, subject matter experts (SME’s), and the training teams from other Fairlife facilities. NOTE: Travel may be required during this phase.
Contract Training Specialist Responsibilities/Requirements
- Learn the processes/review current documentation within the Processing, Packaging, and Warehousing areas that will be used in the production and distribution of milk.
- Collaborate with Operators, Technicians, Subject Matter Experts SME’s), and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to design, develop and deploy world-class instructional content tailored to manufacturing processes, maintenance of equipment and quality control.
- Develop detailed learning curriculums to address department needs, job roles, and specific equipment proficiency requirements.
- Design and produce engaging eLearning modules, interactive training videos, and practical work aids to enhance training effectiveness.
- Create and implement assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training content.
- Support the implementation of training curriculums and materials, with a focus on guiding and enhancing on-the-job training (OJT) programs.
- Apply the ADDIE model to design, develop, and refine training materials, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and employee development needs.
- Review and update current training content based on feedback, operational changes, and evolving business requirements.
- Maintain flexibility to adjust work hours and shifts as needed to accommodate training schedules.
- Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
- Experienced in instructional design or technical writing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience developing eLearning courses, training videos, and detailed work aids
- Proficiency in video editing such as Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with eLearning development tools such as Articulate, Captivate, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented with ability to explain complex topics simply
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and the ability to collaborate with SMEs and department leadership
- Proactive, adaptable, results driven with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Able to work in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to create learning paths and supporting training materials
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and computer skills
- Experience in the Dairy Industry is a plus.

- Time requirement- 40 hrs/ability to flex shift as needed

Food Safety Requirements:
- Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.
- Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
- Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
- Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
