School Counselor

Position Overview:
We have a full-time School Counselor opening in a growing and highly supportive school in South Holland, Illinois supporting 4th-5th grade students! At this school, you will find that the teaching staff, administration, and families work collaboratively to achieve student success.
Start Date:
ASAP-June 16th, 2024 pending emergency days/snow days.
School Counselor Responsibilities:
- Ability to work full-time, Monday, Tues. Thurs., and Friday 8:00am-3:15pm, and Wednesdays until 4:15pm.
- Support 4th-5th grade students.
- Work alongside a school social worker (she is amazing; she was formerly an AnthroMed employee who is now working directly at this school!)
- Meet with students for counseling sessions.
- Provide SEL push-in lessons into groups.
- Support a caseload of 9 or less students.
- School Counselor will be expected to be able to take on recess duty with students when needed and they can also hold 1:1 sessions for students during their lunch.
- This school team utilizes second step. The School Counselor will help the school with the various topics of the month.
- Other duties as assigned.
School Counselor Job Requirements:
- A Master’s Degree is required.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement is required.
Pay and Benefits:
- AnthroMed Team Members who work 30+ hours per week are eligible for the full-time employee benefits offered by AnthroMed.
- The pay range for this position is $50,000-58,000 annually, or 40.58 - $47.21 per hour.
- Paid Time Off starts at 6 days and is prorated based on the start date.
