The Role
We’re seeking a part-time Professional Learning Contractor to deliver virtual eSpark training to teachers nationwide. You’ll ensure educators effectively integrate eSpark into their classrooms, building routines that maximize the program’s value. This part-time role is ideal for retired educators, part-time teachers, or those transitioning from classroom teaching who want to stay involved in education.
Responsibilities
- Master eSpark tools and deliver engaging & effective virtual teacher training.
- Tailor presentations, send session communications, log notes, and share updates with the Customer Success team.
- Collaborate with our Senior Professional Learning Coordinator to refine your skills.
Qualifications
You have -
- Exceptionally strong presentation, communication, and virtual facilitation skills (Zoom, Google Suite).
- Empathy for teachers and alignment with eSpark’s mission.
- A growth mindset - you take initiative in independently learning new skills and are receptive to feedback
- 1+ years in K-12 education (classroom experience preferred).
- Experience with eSpark in classrooms (a plus, not required).
Time Commitment
- Initial Onboarding: 12–15 hours over ~2 weeks (asynchronous and live).
- Weekly Commitment: 5–15 hours/week for PD Facilitation & Prep, with higher hours expected Jan - Mar and Aug - Nov, and few or no hours expected in May - July.
- General Schedule: PDs typically take place between 7am ET - 6pm ET. Contractors will know their schedule a couple of weeks in advance.
- Pay: $28/hour.
Other Requirements & Notes
- Candidates must be located within the continental United States.
- This role requires candidates to deliver virtual training sessions and have a reliable internet connection capable of supporting Zoom, along with a computer and monitor. A quiet, professional environment for hosting virtual sessions is also required.
