School Social Worker
AnthroMed Education is seeking a School Social Worker to join a supportive and welcoming school environment in Berwyn, IL. This role will focus on providing services to students in a Pre-K to 5th-grade building, with a highly collaborative team in place to ensure student success.
Position Details:
- Location: Berwyn, IL
- Schedule: 7:50 AM - 3:05 PM
- Dates: January 6th - June 3rd, 2025
- Caseload Overview:
- Pre-K: Dedicated social worker already in place.
- K-5: You will join another social worker already supporting these grades.
- Classrooms include a self-contained “classroom within a classroom” model, with teachers and paraprofessionals providing structured support.
- Class sizes range from 8-10 students with Autism and other developmental impairments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide social work services aligned with student IEPs and support emotional and behavioral growth.
- Push into classrooms to support students directly in their learning environments.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and the existing social work team to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Address high-energy classroom environments and adapt to the needs of students with Autism and other developmental impairments.
- Document and maintain accurate records of services provided.
Qualifications:
- Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work endorsement (required).
- Experience working with students with Autism and other developmental impairments is preferred.
