If you are looking for the opportunity to join a new and exciting airline that offers the chance to make your mark on aviation history, keep reading!The primary responsibility of the Charter Operations Coordinator (COC) includes but is not limited to facilitating various levels of support to ensure operational safety and success of all charter activities and functions.

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate distribution of information to multiple stakeholders including all OCC members, maintenance, vendors, external clients as well as the Charter Operations Manager. The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated self-starter who can quickly adjust to Avelo changes and demands and can executive excellent customer service that highlights the Avelo Airline’s soul of service.

Responsibilities:


  • Secure Ground Handling Vendor selection to include all respective airports requirements to complete charter setup.
  • Arrange Fuel Vendors, review the economics of each vendor offer, and obtain fuel releases.
  • Work with customers to coordinate and execute their operational plan as needed.
  • Ensures that customer catering and crew meals are ordered as directed.
  • Maintain control and confidentiality of client manifests and security sensitive information.
  • Provide logistical coordination and assistance to all customers, crew members, third party vendors, and internal departments, 
  • Answers phone calls from clients, vendors and Onboard Charter Representative while maintaining a high level of professionalism during stressful situations.
  • Always maintain a high level of operational safety and integrity.
  • Serve as a Liaison with Avelo Security personnel to ensure all proper screening and regulatory requirements are in place for all charter flights.
  • Load, vet, and email customer manifests, review for errors, and process changes up to flight departure.
  • Monitor all charter flight movements and communicate information and delays to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Confirm services and handling requests arranged for charter operations.
  • Travel as required to cover Onboard Charter Representative (OCR) duties to include completion of Aircraft Security Search.
  • Obtain necessary overflight and landing permits, PPRs, etc. to ensure airports are prepared to handle all charter flights.
  • Serves as a point of contact for internal Avelo Contact to assist OCC with any questions or concerns as they arise regarding Charter Flight Operations.
  • Assists with the development and execution of any contingency plans in coordination with Leadership.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks in a rapidly evolving airline operations environment.
  • Performs tasks in accordance with Avelo Airlines policies and procedures while maintaining a high level of operational safety and integrity.
  • Close out charter flights and send regulatory required messages/reports.
  • Provide payment information to all vendors for ground handling services rendered.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for the Airport Operations crew as needed 

Requirements

  • 3+ Airline industry experience required; previous charter experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Must exhibit excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Most possess required international travel documents such a passport during the duration of employment.
  • Must possess exceptional client-service and communication skills.
  • Perform independently in a fast-paced, time sensitive, multi-tasking environment.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and deliver.
  • Must be able to travel between 25-50% on short notice and available to work varied hours, nights, and weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license

X-Factors:


  • Previous charter experience and Ramp Operations is highly preferred.
  • Prefer candidates with International Airline Ops experience. 
  • Prior Airline certifications of GSC, OCR/Loadmaster, or W&B would be advantageous.
