Full-timeDescriptionPosition: Accountant II – Shared ServicesReports to: Accounting ManagerPosition Summary:The Accountant II for Shared Services is responsible for the accuracy of daily and monthly entries made into the company’s general ledger, specifically in the areas of income, sales, COGs, accounts receivable, and inventory and for the reconciliation of multiple ledger accounts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for all assigned Ace Mart companies. This individual will assist in the timely preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements for their assigned Shared Services departments.
This is a team position and as such, this person is also expected to backing up other accountants as needed.All employees are expected to adhere to Ace Mart business philosophy, guidelines and policies as laid out in the Ace Mart mission statement, Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures Manual and Safety Program.
Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.1. Reconcile the corporate cash account daily, including making necessary journal entries.2. Preparation of all ACH payment drafts and check runs.3. Manage the credit card and NSF charge back process.4. Audit Daily Sales Reports for assigned stores.5. Reconcile all entries made into the accounts receivable and customer deposit ledger accounts, making any necessary corrections.6. Perform monthly reconciliations to assigned accounts, including but not limited to cash and credit cards, accounts receivable, customer deposits, gift cards, Internal AR, Prepaid Expenses, Inventory, and Prepaid Inventory.7.
Maintain all depreciation accounts and make monthly depreciation expense entries.8. Assist other accountant(s) as needed with the daily auditing of the Daily Sales Reports from assigned stores.9. Assist with additional accounting tasks of Shared Services companies on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis10. Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager and/or Controller.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of:
a. G/L accountingb. G.A.A.P. accounting proceduresc. Advanced Excel Spreadsheet/Word Processingd. Oracle NetSuite experience preferred

Education and Experience:
a. Bachelors degree in Accountingb. Minimum of four years bookkeeping/accounting experience
