Full-timeDescriptionThis is an Inside Sales Manager position which is responsible for providing customer driven focus with technical expertise and product selection support directly for our customers. They are also responsible for supporting outside sales account managers within the Instrumentation and Automation business unit. The Inside Sales Manager is also responsible for managing and delegating tasks to a team of inside sales employees. 

Position Responsibilities 


The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for overall customer care and support, acting as a liaison in problem solving research and resolution. They are responsible for managing a diverse group of inside sales team members. They should be familiar with providing call resolution to our customers, suppliers, and establishing customer satisfaction and loyalty. This position requires sales and technical service support experience. These requests may be either by phone, portal, email, walk-in or fax; and include taking and keying orders, providing quotes, researching item availability requests, answering pricing questions, entering returns and credits, and ordering needed parts for our customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Receiving and processing orders via telephone, email, and portal • Providing order status and pricing information to customers • Providing technical specification and recommendations • Developing, establishing, and maintaining professional relationships with vendors to meet and support customer needs • Identifying problems and providing positive, productive solutions while utilizing basic problem escalation procedures • Developing, training and implementing better practices within a successful team • Managing conflict resolution and sustain a positive work environment • Demonstrating initiative – the ability to think, work and make independent decisions using sound judgement • Partnering with Account Manager(s) to fully satisfy the needs of their key, target and maintenance customers • Bringing cross-functional teams together to work towards a common goal • Demonstrating organization, prioritization, follow up and time management skills • Evaluating key and target accounts to determine what level of inventory needs to be stocked • Completing proactive weekly calls to key and target accounts • Proactively recommending service, training, engineered solutions and combustion • Proactively promote and recommend products, services, and engineered solutions within the entire portfolio • Providing dedicated direct lines of contact for key and target customers • Any other duties assigned by management Requirements

Position Requirements 


• 7 to 10 years’ experience managing medium to large inside sales teams • Effective communications skills- verbal and written, the ability to listen • Strong managerial and leadership skills • Proven ability to lead and support inside sales teams and Account Managers in respective territories • Experience facilitating team meetings with outcomes, objectives and action items • Previous experience managing multiple direct reports scheduling and time-off requests • Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Office365, ERP, CRM, and other business software systems • Proven ability to train, evaluate and maintain a qualified and capable inside sales team • Knowledge of quoting procedures, how to read technical application data sheets, and application assistance based on products • Advanced experience with Instrumentation & Automation products and distribution
