The Pennon Organization is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a full-time Facilities Attendant. This position involves maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment, with additional responsibilities for small maintenance tasks and occasional vehicle operation requiring a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). If you do not currently possess a CDL, we are willing to assist the right candidate in obtaining this certification.The role will split their time between our Lancaster office and our Harrisburg office.
The regular schedule will be Tuesdays-Saturdays from Noon-9:00pm with a one-hour lunch break.Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and restroom cleaning.
- Handle minor maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement, basic repairs, and painting.
- Monitor and maintain building systems, ensuring proper functioning of equipment.
- Conduct outdoor maintenance as needed, including snow removal, landscaping, and groundskeeping.
- Safely operate vehicles and equipment as required.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for company events or facility rentals.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Assist the Director of Facilities with vendor scheduling.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one within 1 year.
- Proven experience in custodial and/or maintenance work preferred.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment for cleaning and minor repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
