THE GIST…
Our Deputy Program Manager is responsible for assisting in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution and compliance of all work associated with the task order, in alignment with defined terms and conditions. This role requires the ability to lead large, complex programs, acting as the primary interface with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and Contracting Officer (CO) to maintain effective communication and coordination. The PM will ensure project governance, resources, and strategies are in place for continuous task order performance and address task order-related issues promptly.
WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT INCLUDE…
- Lead large, complex program and ensure all activities under the task order meet compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions.
- Act as the single point of contact for the resolution of any task order-related issues, with the ability to engage contractor corporate senior leadership when necessary.
- Ensure all deliverables meet the quality, timeline, and performance standards outlined in the task order to support successful project outcomes.
- Proactively manage program performance and foster strong relationships with USCIS stakeholders to achieve positive CPARs, reflecting high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary liaison between USCIS and contractor teams, working closely with the COR and CO.
- Attend regular status and ad hoc meetings with USCIS stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals, progress, and addressing any operational concerns.
- Coordinate and attend meetings with Technical Lead(s) as required to support stakeholder discussions or updates.
- Provide decisive leadership to address any task order-related issues, ensuring efficient resolution.
- Maintain readiness to support off-hours emergencies, such as scheduled maintenance, unplanned outages, or critical incidents, coordinating necessary resources to mitigate impact.
- Oversee program performance metrics and reporting, providing updates to both USCIS and internal senior leadership as needed.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize task order delivery and alignment with client expectations.
Requirements
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS…
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10years experience in project management, with a proven track record in leading large, complex programs, ideally within government contracting or a related environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing task orders, ensuring compliance, and effectively liaising with government stakeholders.
- Proven ability to meet deliverable deadlines, achieve high-quality performance standards, and earn positive CPARs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support productive engagement with USCIS representatives and corporate leadership.
- Ability to manage and respond to off-hours emergencies when necessary.
- Experience coordinating with technical teams, ensuring technical support aligns with task order objectives.
- Familiarity with USCIS operations or federal contracting environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating project risks.
