Full-timeDescriptionData Architect is responsible for designing data warehouse solutions and working with various technologies. Data Architect is responsible for designing data infrastructure to extract and organize data for authorized individuals to access. Their duties include identifying a customer’s internal and external data sources, collaborating with stakeholders to determine their data storage and organizational needs, and using the information to create and maintain data infrastructure.

  • Set technical guidelines and approaches to ensure all architectural solutions result in a coherent system design
  • Set standards and best practices to effectively leverage the functionalities of ETL tools and database engines
  • Seek continuous improvement in performance, tuning of data warehouse, and ensure security of data.
  • Analyze existing solution and identify areas for improvement in current systems
  • Develop migration plan and perform data migration of legacy data
  • Promote data reusability across architecture, interfaces, and stakeholders
  • Provide a simplified, unified data model and taxonomy
  • Publish and/or present design reports
  • Coordinate with other team members to reach project milestones and deadlines
  • Audit databases regularly to maintain quality
  • Support and respond to customer/user inquiries

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field), or substitute six years of equivalent work experience
  • At least six (6) years of experience as a Data Architect
  • Proficient with PostgreSQL
  • Must have experience working on a database migration project
  • The ability to analyze and present statistical information
  • Mastery of specific types of databases, such as relational or foundational databases
  • Experience with database management software
  • Must have experience working with Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps environments.
  • Must have experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong work ethic, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must provide fingerprints and be able to pass a US Public Trust background check for badging and access to client systems.
  • Previous federal government project experience a plus

  • In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be must be authorized to work in the US.
  • All candidates will be subject to a complete background check to include, but not limited to Criminal History, Education Verification, Professional Certification Verification, Verification of Previous Employment and Credit History.
  • Public Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and requires fingerprinting.

Other Information:


  • The salary for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 annually
  • This role offers a flexible work arrangement, primarily remote with the understanding that occasional on-site presence may be required to support client needs.
