Analyst/Senior Analyst - Vendor Solutions

SUMMARY: 

The Analyst or Senior Analyst will provide support for the Vendor Solutions department and specifically assist AVP and VP level with the delivery of Vendor Solution services provided to Medical Stop Loss captive program member owners. Assist with coordination of annual captive program workshop agendas and planning as it relates to Vendor Solutions, assist with preparation and delivery of proposals, manage vetting of third-party vendors across spectrum of cost containment areas, create and update draft reports and presentations, data entry and analysis including database management.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency in a related discipline and at least two (2) years of directly related experience in the health and group benefits insurance, client service or consulting industry is preferred.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:


  • Prior knowledge and understanding of employer sponsored health insurance and specifically self-funding with stop loss protection, TPAs, PBMs or other solutions providers (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational, planning and prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and judgment skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure at times
  • Detail-oriented
  • Works well independently and in a team environment
  • Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills

  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist with vetting TPAs, PBMs, and point solutions across spectrum of cost containment programs
  • Coordinate data to generate TPA and PBM proposals, reviewing for accuracy and managing subsequent questions from broker partners and sales teams
  • Manage internal database tracking of vendor inquiries and closures
  • Pull data from data analytics systems (Springbuk and Innovu) to drive meaningful insights and inform strategy both internally for Vendor Solutions and externally for captive consulting
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships, in conjunction with Vendor Solutions team
  • Present on internal and external webinars, as needed
  • Oversee monthly finance fee forecasting reports
  • Manage annual fee disclosure to captive members in conjunction with CEs

TRAVEL: 

Occasional travel may be required and specifically for domestic workshops when conducted off-site and away from Captive Resources’ offices in Itasca, IL.
