Meter's mission and long term ambition

Meter builds better internet infrastructure. We make it exceptionally easy for any business to have great computer networking, internet, and Wi-Fi. Businesses of all sizes and industries increasingly rely on internet infrastructure for daily operations, yet getting connected today is incredibly difficult. To solve this problem, Meter builds and manages a vertically integrated solution across hardware, software, and operations. We believe people who build hardware and software should be the ones responsible for it.

Our ambition is to evolve internet infrastructure into a utility.

This role is critical to Meter's success

One exceptional hire can dramatically change the outcomes for their team and the trajectory of their company. This belief drives our Talent team and should drive the design and delivery of the systems, processes, and programming that provide the operational backbone for discovering, attracting, hiring, and enabling best-in-market talent at scale. We are looking for an early career generalist to optimize and scale operations across Meter’s recruiting and onboarding workflows. We have processes and tools in place; this new hire should be able to innovate and up-level our approach, as opposed to turning the wheel on an existing playbook. You’re a strong match for this role if you are creative and operate with a strong sense of ownership when searching for and solving problems; you are known for getting stuff done in fast-moving, quickly changing environments; you hold a high bar for yourself and for your colleagues; you are organized and detail oriented; and, you inherently operate with a customer-first mindset. In this role, you will join the Talent team and be part of Meter’s Internal Operations group which includes Business Operations and People Operations.

You will report directly to Meter’s Head of Internal Operations. This role is based out of our San Francisco HQ office.

You will have an impact by

  • Managing and optimizing Meter’s technology stack for discovering talent (e.g., LinkedIn, X), engaging with candidates and hiring teams throughout the hiring process (e.g., Greenhouse, Slack), and onboarding new hires (e.g., Rippling).
  • Operationalizing the programs and processes that ensure candidates and hiring teams have the clarity, context, and confidence needed throughout the hiring process (e.g., scheduling interviews, hosting on-sites, managing candidate communication and logistics, creating documentation to prep candidates and hiring teams).
  • Contributing to various Internal Operations initiatives, including but not limited to recruitment marketing and branding, managing aspects of Meter’s new hire onboarding program, reporting and analytics, and assisting with other ad-hoc projects, as needed.
