We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to directly support our customer. In this role, you will provide systems and software engineering analysis of complex on-prim and cloud-based software applications being developed and/or deployed within the organization. You will provide systems engineering services for the implementation of a cloud-based data mesh application including the identification and integration of enterprise software applications, services, and data using APIs and cloud-native technologies.
You will develop, plan, coordinate, and integrate systems-related requirements to support operational needs of the cloud data mesh and plan for scalability to accommodate future growth and implement measures to scale systems efficiently. You will recommend technologies (Cloud, Network Segmentation, COTS Applications, Artificial Intelligence, etc) that could be deployed to meet organization needs identified through the enterprise architecture. You will assess and recommend where cloud-based or on-prim based solutions would be more effective and/or efficient to transform business solutions. You will use your effective communication skills to collaborate with customers, and cross-functional teams, document technical processes, and present solutions to stakeholders. You will prepare management plans and reports of current status and provide recommendations to customers and stakeholders.
Required
- BS or BA degree
- 5+ years of prior relevant experience
- Familiarity with or expertise in one or more Cloud Service Providers to include AWS, Azure, Gitlab, and/or VMWare experience
- Must have an in-scope DoD Security Clearance
Desired
- Experience with the Unified Data Reference Architecture (UDRA)
- Experience handling classified data
- Understand principles of DevSecOps
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiar with requirements management tools
- SQL Server / SQL Server as a Service experience
- Experience with reading Unified Architecture Framework to capture organizational enterprise architecture.
