Pendo is looking for a senior data scientist to join our centralized analytics team. As a team, we act as strategic business partners who provide a perspective on pathways to business growth through analysis of data. In this role, you will be a key player in shaping our go-to-market and customer retention strategies. You will partner with various functional groups to drive business outcomes through analytics, predictive modeling, and strategic solutions. The ideal candidate will have a blend of business acumen, entrepreneurial drive, strong analytical knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities (what you’ll do):
- Leverage machine learning and predictive modeling to identify opportunities and mitigate risks for our Revenue teams
- Partner with data engineers to build, test, and deploy models in production
- Partner with analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to design and enable model output that is actionable and interpretable by the intended audiences
- Lead the process of collecting and iterating on feedback, assessing model performance, and developing a roadmap for data science models
- Work closely with other data analysts to deliver insights that spark ideas for growth
- Drive continuous improvement through experimentation. Develop hypotheses to test out new tactics and approaches; own test design and ensure proper execution and communication of final measurement/conclusions
- Collaborate on large cross-functional projects, and develop and sustain a data-driven culture throughout the company
Qualifications (what you have):
- Bachelors’ or master’s education in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field
- Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Solid grasp of statistical concepts, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
- Some industry experience using statistical analysis or machine learning to drive actionable insights from large data sets
- Team oriented and highly agile thinker
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities concurrently
- Clear communication skills to present complex analyses in a digestible format for diverse audiences
- A true team player with a collaborative, positive approach to solving challenges and supporting colleagues
- Experience with recurring revenue-based business models preferred
- Experience working with customer success or product analytics, with exposure to value realization and customer retention strategies is preferred

Compensation
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.The expected salary range for this role to be performed in:Raleigh, NC - USD $103,400 - $135,000Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.#LI-KW1#LI-UShubs
