About the Role


  • As Faropoint’s Senior Controller, Property Accounting Group, you will be responsible for a portfolio of our industrial properties, developing and growing the property accounting group, leading the financial onboarding & offboarding of our assets, and creating policies and procedures. 

Responsibilities


  • Yardi administration, creating entities, maintaining workflows
  • Oversee accounting supervisor, and 5 senior accountants
  • Oversee and establish month-end closing process including bank reconciliations, supporting all balance sheet accounts, and accruals. Research account activity as needed
  • Compile monthly reporting package and other reporting as required.
  • Assist with recording of property-related transactions such as purchase/sale or refinancing.
  • Assist in due diligence efforts and other projects as needed
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives that support the growth strategy, strong system of internal controls and operational excellence.
  • Assist with annual budgets, CAM Recs and forecasts.
  • Assist and resolve any consolidation issues with the fund accounting team

About You


  • 6 + years of relevant property accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • Adept at Excel formulas including, but not limited to, V-lookups, Pivot tables and sum-ifs
  • Advanced Yardi knowledge required
  • 2-3+ years of managing direct reports
  • Have strong and proficient technology skills and be able to produce accurate and professional documents.
  • Be able to effectively handle multiple tasks and responsibilities while demonstrating attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
