Papier’s collection of stationery products, from notebooks & diaries to notecards and wedding invitations, is designed to feed curiosity and contemplation, to invite people to uncover the possibility of a blank page. The business is growing and internationalising rapidly, particularly experiencing growth in the US across both D2C and wholesale channels.Papier is looking for a highly organised studio manager to support both the in-house creative and design teams’ delivery of projects and campaigns – from brief intake to building timelines, supporting shoot production and final delivery. This is a Maternity cover role reporting to the Head of Design Operations.

You will work closely with the design, creative, marketing and cross-functional teams to support the delivery of a wide variety of projects, ranging from new product development, stationery designs, print-on-demand product setup, marketing assets and other creative collateral.  You will support the teams in triaging and assigning new requests, as well as reporting weekly on project progress and managing stakeholder expectations. This role will also provide operational and admin support to both teams; maintaining asset databases and storage governance. As this is a fixed-term contract, we’re looking for a studio manager with proven experience working with creative teams, planning workloads and working with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements


Project Coordination

  • Oversee the intake, triaging, and assignment of new project briefs for the creative and design teams.
  • Build and manage project timelines to ensure smooth delivery from concept to completion.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, updating stakeholders weekly and managing expectations.
  • Manage freelance resources when necessary for project completion.
  • Work with the Head of Design Operations to plan timelines against design concepts and marketing campaigns and manage individual stakeholder contributions to these.

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Maintain and govern design and creative asset databases and file storage systems. 
  • Support the upkeep of Print-On-Demand products by working cross-functionally to solve product setup issues.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across design, creative, marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Design Operations and both creative and design teams.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a studio manager, production coordinator, or similar role within a creative or design-driven environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel or Google Sheets and experience working with project management tools (e.g., Notion, Trello, Asana etc).
  • Familiarity with creative processes, from ideation to execution, and an understanding of design or marketing workflows.
