Our teams work every day to deliver the highest standards of care, advance the science of the developing brain and empower parents, professionals and policymakers to support children when and where they need it most.We are a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, social workers, speech-language therapists and learning specialists who work closely to ensure each family gets the care and attention they need.

Our clinicians are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders.We are currently looking for a clinical psychologist or social worker to join our team as the Director, Summer Program. The primary job responsibility of the clinician will be conducting clinical interventions in one of our centers: ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center, Mood Disorders Center, Anxiety Disorders Center, Learning and Development Center and Autism Center. In addition, the successful candidate will direct our growing programming overseeing group development, participation, staffing, metrics and ensuring profitable growth overtime.

  • Manage and direct summer program providing empirically-supported treatments in individual and group therapy settings. 
  • Evaluate current programing and develop innovative, flexible solutions to enhance quality and growth 
  • Collaborate with the clinical marketing team on internal and external marketing initiatives to increase recruitment and referrals maximizing patient participation 

  • Oversee program specific cases coming into the clinic including intake oversight, screener or diagnostic evaluation, individual case assignment, and intensive group assignment

  • Provide clinical supervision to trainees and participate in providing psychoeducation for community outreach and presentation efforts

  • Participate in ongoing recruitment and staffing for program assistants, and behavioral technicians as needed to support group structure 
  • Ensure all treatment is appropriately documented in the electronic medical record system 
  • Collaborate with the clinical operations team to ensure administrative program needs are met, and report on overall metrics and program success 
  • Maintain parameters related to the program budget
  • Ensure efficiency in communications; communicate directly with Associate Clinical Director and clinical operations team regarding challenging situations, risks, and decisions that affect program standards 
  • Oversee quality assurance 
  • Participate and encourage staff to join continuing education, conferences, and leadership opportunities 
  • Review program content and clinical decision making with Senior Director(s) regularly 
  • Collaborate with research leadership to promote research-clinical integration within the program
  • Consistent with standards of care, develop a plan for program specific outcomes measurement 
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited or CPA-accredited program in clinical psychology or Master’s Degree from an accredited program in Social Work
  • Must have a current, valid, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the states of California or New York (or be in the process of obtaining that license) or have a California or New York LCSW certification (or certification in progress)
  • 3 – 5 years of licensed experience preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following evidence-based treatments and evaluation tools 
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) (strongly preferred)
  • Behavioral parent training interventions such as Parent Management Training (PMT), Positive Parenting Program (Triple P)
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
  • Radically Open DBT
  • Exposure and response prevention (ERP)
  • Habit Reversal Therapy
  • Social skills interventions 
  • Organizational Skills and Executive Functioning Interventions (OTMP, STAND)
  • Trauma-focused CBT
  • Mindfulness-based interventions
  • Semi-structured evaluation tools (ADI-R, ADOS-2, Kiddie-SADS)
  • Demonstrated experience with professional writing and public speaking preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups
  • Flexible thinking with the ability to work with challenging cases in a fast-paced environment
